Overview

A growing international accounting firm is seeking a motivated Audit Staff to join its team. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with both U.S. and Japan-based clients while developing expertise in audit, accounting, and advisory services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day-to-day activities for attestation and non-attestation engagements
  • Assist with audit fieldwork, documentation, and financial analysis
  • Identify and communicate accounting and auditing issues to senior team members
  • Contribute to improving engagement efficiency and identifying process improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with U.S. and Japanese clients to ensure smooth communication and information flow
  • Support non-attestation services, including:
    • Bookkeeping
    • Payroll processing
    • Miscellaneous tax matters (e.g., property tax, sales tax)
  • Apply firm audit methodologies and quality standards throughout engagements
  • Travel as required to support client engagements

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field from an accredited university
  • Eligible to sit for the CPA exam
  • Japanese language proficiency required
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
  • Willingness to travel when required
