Sales Representative

Location: U.S. (Frequent domestic travel required)

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Representative to join our team as soon as possible.

This position involves frequent business travel, customer visits, and coordination with overseas suppliers. The ideal candidate is a proactive self-starter who is comfortable with travel, client-facing responsibilities, and cross-border communication.

We are particularly interested in developing a young sales professional who can grow with the company long-term.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow existing client accounts (approximately 70%)
  • Develop new business opportunities (approximately 30%) through:
    • Trade shows
    • LinkedIn outreach
    • Direct prospecting
  • Visit 2–3 client sites per week (domestic travel required)
  • Travel Monday–Friday for regional client visits when necessary
  • Occasionally support weekend airport pick-ups or customer arrangements
  • Coordinate and attend client visits with business visitors from Japan (approximately once per month)
  • Communicate regularly with clients via email and meetings
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers in Japan, Korea, and China
  • Participate in evening online meetings with overseas partners as needed
  • Travel to Japan approximately once per year for business meetings

Client & Supplier Profile

  • Primary clients: Chemical-related companies
  • Suppliers: Primarily based in Japan, Korea, and China

Qualifications

  • 2–3+ years of sales experience preferred
    • Chemical or cosmetics industry experience is a plus
    • Candidates from other industries may be considered
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable with frequent travel and flexible scheduling
  • Experience with B2B sales preferred

Language Requirements

  • Japanese: Required (business level; casual Japanese acceptable for internal communication)
  • English: Business level required

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $75,000 –$90,000
