Role: Quality Inspector
Location: Brooklyn Park, MN (Onsite)
Compensation: $45–$55/hour

Position Overview
This contract Quality Inspector role supports fabrication and assembly work for high-purity systems used in advanced manufacturing environments. The position focuses heavily on weld inspection, piping systems, and vessel fabrication, ensuring all work meets strict industry and customer standards. This is a hands-on role that works closely with fabrication teams, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to keep quality front and center throughout the build process.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform visual inspections of welds to verify compliance with specifications and industry standards
- Inspect fabricated vessels, skidded systems, and internal vessel components
- Review welding procedures and qualification records to ensure adherence to requirements
- Support and guide welding personnel on proper procedures and quality expectations
- Conduct in-house inspections of fabricated parts and PVC internal components
- Inspect PVDF, PP, and PVC piping systems used in high-purity applications
- Document inspections through reports, photos, and records, submitting findings to management
- Coordinate with other departments to align inspection activities with project plans
- Maintain strong working relationships with supplier quality teams
Qualifications
Education
- Trade school diploma preferred, ideally with a welding focus
Experience
- 5–7 years in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Experience inspecting PVDF/PP piping welds for high-purity or semiconductor applications
- Experience with PVC piping bonding inspections
- Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) required
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Strong understanding of WPS, WQTR, and PQR documentation
- Knowledge of ASME B31.3, ASTM, ASME, D1.1, and corrosion standards
- Nondestructive Testing (NDT) certification preferred
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Familiarity with mechanical measuring tools and inspection equipment
- Proficient in MS Office and basic computer systems
