Compensation: Base $70,000–$80,000 + Commission (uncapped, approx. 2% of sales)

Hours: 8:30–17:00, Monday–Friday

Employment Type: Full-time (Remote / WFH within designated states, no relocation support)

Position Summary

This role is responsible for regional outside sales of technical products and systems. The position focuses on expanding customer touchpoints, developing new business opportunities, and maintaining existing client relationships. While supported by experienced senior sales staff for closing activities, this role is expected to proactively generate leads and build pipelines. Frequent travel is required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct outside sales activities targeting potential and existing customers
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand customer touchpoints
  • Develop new accounts, including non-Japanese-affiliated clients
  • Prepare and present product proposals and quotations
  • Coordinate joint sales calls and closing activities with senior sales staff
  • Learn and communicate technical product features and applications
  • Maintain activity records and reports using CRM (SugarCRM)
  • Attend regular sales meetings and occasional trade shows
  • Travel approximately 3 times per month (2–3 days per trip)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support customer needs

Qualifications

Required:

  • Approximately 3 years of professional experience, ideally in outside or B2B sales
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Preferred:

  • Technical or engineering-related background
  • Experience in industrial equipment, machinery, molding, or press-related industries
  • Experience interacting with senior or long-tenured customers

Other Details

  • Exempt position
  • Target sales volume: approx. $1M per salesperson
  • Company vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop provided
  • Per diem: $20 (day trip), $40 per overnight stay
  • Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k) with 4% company match
    • Employee coverage: 100%, dependent coverage: 75%
  • Paid time off: 10 days annually starting in Year 2
  • Initial onboarding includes approximately 2 weeks of on-site training
  • Occasional overseas training may be required
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States. No visa sponsorship is available for this role.
