Computer Systems Administrator / Help Desk

Location: East Coast (New York or Atlanta preferred)

Employment Type: Full-time

Business hours: Monday – Friday, 9am – 6pm

An international organization with U.S. operations is looking for a Computer Systems Administrator / Help Desk professional to join its IT team.

This role plays a key part in supporting internal users and maintaining IT operations across U.S. offices, with a strong focus on CargoWise system support. The position is open due to a recent team transition, and the company is eager to move quickly for the right candidate.

What you’ll do

• Provide day-to-day help desk and local IT support for U.S. offices
• Support and learn the CargoWise system (hands-on experience required or strong interest)
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues
• Maintain systems, applications, and configurations
• Support data backup, security, and basic infrastructure tasks
• Train users on standard business tools such as Microsoft Office
• Collaborate closely with IT leadership and internal stakeholders

What they’re looking for

• Strong communication and customer support skills
• Entry-level to ~2 years of IT / help desk experience welcome
• Motivation, learning ability, and a proactive mindset are highly valued
• Interest in system administration, infrastructure, or automation is a plus

Nice to have

• CargoWise experience or certification
• Japanese language skills (business level preferred, basic acceptable)
• Candidates comfortable working with teams across time zones

Work style & growth

• Eastern Time working hours required
• On-site work initially (6–12 months), with potential hybrid flexibility later
• Competitive base salary around USD 74,000–75,000 (flexible based on experience)
