Key Account Coordinator (Sales Representative)

Location: Rolling Meadows, IL

Compensation: Up to $120,000 annually (DOE)

Hours: 8 hours/day; core hours 10:00 AM–4:00 PM

Employment Type: Full-time, Exempt (on-site; limited hybrid after onboarding)

Position Summary

The Key Account Coordinator manages and grows relationships with large corporate customers and distributors. This role aligns U.S. sales activities with global headquarters strategy while providing technical and commercial support for value-added lubricant products.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts and distributors
  • Align customer engagement with global strategy from Japan headquarters
  • Understand customer business operations and lubrication needs
  • Provide technical support related to lubrication applications
  • Collaborate with marketing to deliver technical product information
  • Coordinate with supply chain and inside sales teams
  • Support long-term project launches requiring persistence and follow-through

Qualifications

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of sales experience
  • Experience selling value-added products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently and cross-functionally
  • Flexibility working with Japanese business culture
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license

Preferred:

  • Sales experience in automotive, chemical, or lubricant-related industries

Other Details

  • Travel: Approximately 10–25%
  • Hybrid work: Up to 40% after 3 months (manager discretion)
  • Bonus: Eligibility after 1 year
  • 401(k): Eligibility after 1 year
  • Must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Probationary period: 6 months
