Position: Sales Coordinator
The Sales Coordinator plays a key role in managing customer projects and coordinating closely with manufacturing partners in Japan. This position ensures smooth communication, effective project execution, and successful commercial outcomes across multiple industries, including automotive OEMs, automotive parts and aftermarket, agricultural machinery, and general industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, receiving project development plans, coordinating schedules, and tracking overall progress
- Understand customer specifications and quality requirements, identify technical challenges, and propose practical solutions
- Evaluate price quotations and lead pricing discussions and negotiations with customers
- Conduct market and competitor analysis, including benchmarking estimated pricing strategies
- Coordinate preparations for mass production after order confirmation, ensuring readiness of resources, materials, quality standards, and delivery schedules
- Respond to customer inquiries and manage issues after mass production has started
- Manage sales and profit budgets, while monitoring and reporting on sales performance
- Research opportunities to reduce logistics costs or optimize logistics routes
- Negotiate price adjustments related to specification changes or new product proposals
- Collect and analyze market and application data to identify new product uses and support innovative applications aligned with customer needs
Qualification:
- Japanese language at an idiomatic level (writing, reading, and speaking.) Must be able to attend meeting with Japan HQ and create documents in Japanese. Business and above level in English.
- A few years of sales related experience preferably in automotive industry.
- Must be able to travel as needed. (Possibly 1-2 times overnight business trip within Midwest, East and Southeast in USA.)
- Possibility of training in Japan after hiring. (Approximately for a week.)
