Title: Customer Service Representative
Company: Japanese owned electrical equipment manufacturing company
Location: Novi, MI *Hybrid workstyle (3days in-office/ 2 days remote)
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday / 9:00 a.m.-6:00 p.m.
Hourly rate: $21 – 26/hour (DOE)
Hiring Style: Temp (Possibility of direct hire conversion in the future depends on performance)
Summary
Responsible for obtaining and analyzing customer forecast and purchase orders as well as coordinating shipping and invoicing to customers. Following-up on past due accounts receivable. Creating sales reports for management.
Primary responsibilities
- Administer customer accounts by communicating with clients and sharing updated information
- Process customer orders, generate sales invoices and shipping documents
- Monitor and follow up on account receivables, expedite collections, and process customer adjustments
- Coordinate with logistic company and manage to maintain optimum inventory level of products at multiple warehouse locations
- Generates monthly sales reports and forecast
- Review and analyze customer latest forecasts for any changes and to understand usage trends
- Communicate with customers to understand the timeline and detailed steps from time of our shipment until customer issues payment
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying the customer's complaint; forwarding technical issues to engineers; explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustment; following up to ensure resolution
- Recommends potential products or services to management by collecting customer information and analyzing customer needs
- Provide support to team members and handle additional tasks as needed
Skills and Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher,
- 2 or more years’ experience in customer support or supply chain roles,
- Business Level English speaking and writing,
- Spanish/Japanese language (helps but not mandatory),
- Familiarity with computerized order processing,
- Understanding of INFOR (helpful but not mandatory),
- Microsoft Excel skills,
- Resolving Conflict, Analyzing Information, Multi-tasking,
- Be able to handle high-stress situation with customers and maintain professional attitude
