Business: Airline

Location: Chicago O'Hare International Airport

Language: Japanese and English

Pay: During Training (approximately 3 months): $19.10/h, After Training: $19.45/h

Hours: Normally 5.5h or 6h/day

See the followings:

Winter Schedule: AM Shift: 05:30 – 11:30am/ PM Shift: 11:30 – 5:30 PM

Summer Schedule: AM Shift: 7:00am – 01:00pm/ PM Shift 12:45pm-6:45pm

*Schedule could vary due to flight schedule

*Part-time (2-3 days a week) is also considerable

Essential Duties includes followings but not limited to:

Arrival:

  • Prepare Arrival Briefing sheet including outbound connection list
  • Print out baggage tag list for arrival agent
  • Prepare name signs for passengers needing assistance.
  • Escort VIPs, MAAS, UMNR, etc. or other important passengers or passengers with special needs when assigned.
  • Assist and translate for passengers at the immigration and customs when needed.
  • Assist tight connecting passengers when assigned.
  • Guide and assist passengers through the immigration area, baggage claim, customs and to the arrival hall.

Departure

  • Create Departure briefing sheet and create name sign for those passengers needing assistance,
  • Guide passengers to the Check-in counter, TSA and to the gate, give direction to the applicable lounge as needed.
  • Translate conversation upon check-in as needed.
  • Assist passengers at the counter.
  • Assist and escort passengers with special needs including boarding assistance as assigned.
  • Meet tight connection passengers as assigned.
  • •Pick up departure baggage from ticketing counter after the flight push back.

Others

  • Prepare necessary flight files for arrival and departure records.
  • Print out airport maps, baggage tag slips and other necessary items for the operation.
  • Assist passenger’s check-in and carry on baggage while escorting or guiding passengers.
  • In the event of flight delay and/or cancellation, escort passengers to the baggage claim area, shuttle bus center to the hotels, and hand out hotel/meal vouchers, etc.

Requirements:

  • Must have Expert level of Japanese language skill and Business level English
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Must be able to walk around in the airport.
  • Must possess a professional presentation.
  • Interpersonal and problem solving abilities.
  • Must have Ilinois Real ID (State ID or DL) for airport badge process
  • Employment is contingent upon obtaining and maintaining required clearances and authorizations.
