Position: Inside Sales

Industry: Freight Forwarder

Pay Range: $20-25/hour (DOE)

Work Location: Torrance, CA

Remote: On-site

Position Overview

Our client, a growing Japanese logistics company specializing in import cargo (primarily ocean containers) and domestic transportation services is looking for a sales rep!

You will begin your role as an Inside Sales Representative, working closely with an Outside Sales team member.

Based on performance and suitability, there is a future opportunity to transition into an Outside Sales role and take on more client-facing, relationship-driven responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Inside Sales (initial role)

• Obtain rates from vendors
• Prepare quotations
• Communicate with customers on a daily basis
• Collaborate with an Outside Sales representative to manage accounts and opportunities

Future ‐Outside Sales (based on suitability)

• Manage existing client relationships and conduct new business development
• Propose solutions for ocean import and domestic logistics services
• Perform problem-solving–focused sales activities and basic market research
• Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional working experience (industry experience not required) OR Prior experience in the logistics industry
• Japanese communication ability preferred (not mandatory)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and handle multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset
