Please review thoroughly before submitting your application. \u203b<\/em><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Company Overview<\/h2>\n<p>A manufacturing company specializing in precision drive and motion-control technologies is seeking a Production Engineer to support its manufacturing operations in Glendale Heights, IL.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Position Summary<\/h2>\n<p>The Production Engineer designs, implements, and optimizes manufacturing processes for gearbox production and warehouse operations. This position serves as the technical bridge between product design and mass production, with a focus on safe, efficient assembly processes, high-precision quality standards, automation, productivity improvement, and cost reduction.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Develop and optimize assembly sequences, takt time, workstation layouts, and production flow.<\/li>\n<li>Design and implement warehouse\/logistics automation, including barcode systems, AS\/RS, AMRs, and related material-handling solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Specify, procure, and commission production equipment, including presses, automated fastening systems, testing equipment, jigs, and fixtures.<\/li>\n<li>Support new product introduction and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) reviews.<\/li>\n<li>Lead continuous improvement and Kaizen initiatives focused on bottlenecks, waste, scrap, downtime, ergonomics, and cost reduction.<\/li>\n<li>Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, process flowcharts, and PFMEA documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with Quality Engineering on root-cause analysis and corrective actions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.<\/li>\n<li>1\u20133+ years of production or manufacturing engineering experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with assembly-line setup and\/or process optimization.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with manufacturing automation, such as PLC\/HMI controls, robotics, AGVs, or automated material handling.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to design or develop equipment\/automation solutions based on operational requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with 2D\/3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Inventor.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of GD&amp;T and precision assembly techniques.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and\/or Six Sigma.<\/li>\n<li>Strong project management, troubleshooting, and hands-on problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Business-level English communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work extensively on the factory floor and occasionally lift at least 30 lbs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience with PLC\/HMI systems such as Keyence, Panasonic, or Mitsubishi.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with industrial robotics such as UR, Epson, or Mitsubishi.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with gearbox, reducer, or other precision assembly manufacturing.<\/li>\n<li>Japanese language ability.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other Details<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports to the Production Engineering Manager.<\/li>\n<li>Hands-on position requiring regular presence on the manufacturing floor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u203bThis role may include additional responsibilities as needed based on business needs. \u203b<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[],"job-types":[],"class_list":["post-26656","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Production Engineer - Pasona N A, Inc. | Your Career Partner<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/job\/063231\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Production Engineer - Pasona N A, Inc. | Your Career Partner\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"Production Engineer Location: Glendale Heights, IL Compensation: $85k\/yr~ DOE Hours: 8am &#8211; 5pm, however overtime may be occasionally required to accommodate the time difference during meetings with Japan-based stakeholders.
