Automotive Account Manager \u2013 Japanese Bilingual<\/strong><\/h1>\n

Location:<\/strong> Novi, MI<\/span><\/p>\n

Base Salary:<\/strong> $120K<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

A Japanese automotive products manufacturer is seeking a <\/span>Japanese-English bilingual Account Manager<\/strong> to join its Sales team in Novi, Michigan.<\/span><\/p>\n

This position will primarily manage Tier supplier accounts supporting Toyota and Honda-related business, with the potential to support additional automotive accounts in the future.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Account Manager will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships, responding to RFQs, preparing quotations, resolving commercial issues, and identifying opportunities for sales growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Manage and develop relationships with assigned automotive Tier customers<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support Toyota and Honda-related customer programs and business activities<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Identify and pursue new sales and business development opportunities<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Respond to customer RFQs and coordinate internally to prepare pricing and quotations<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Handle commercial discussions and resolve customer-related issues<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Coordinate customer sample requests and follow up on business opportunities<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Prepare sales forecasts and annual sales budgets for assigned accounts<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Monitor customer activity, competitors, and industry trends<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Work closely with Engineering, Accounting, Customer Support, and other internal teams<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support resolution of payment, obsolete inventory, and other commercial matters<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide regular sales and account updates to management<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Support product exhibitions and promotional activities as needed<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Qualifications:<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree required; Engineering degree preferred<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Business-level or higher Japanese and English communication skills<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • 5+ years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or a related commercial role<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience working with <\/span>Toyota and Honda-related automotive accounts or programs<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Experience working with Tier 1 \/ Tier 2 automotive suppliers preferred<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Experience with RFQs, quotations, pricing, and commercial negotiations<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Technical product sales experience is a plus<\/span><\/li>\n
    • International business or trading experience is a plus<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Proficiency with Microsoft 365<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
