Please review thoroughly before submitting your application. \u203b<\/em><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Company Overview<\/h2>\n<p>An international logistics company is establishing a new Kentucky operation supporting transportation, warehousing, and import\/export services. This position will join the location during its startup phase and work closely with the onsite Sales Manager.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Position Summary<\/h2>\n<p>The Sales Assistant supports sales, customer service, and logistics operations involving air, ocean, and ground import\/export shipments. The role coordinates with customers, carriers, warehouses, customs-related parties, overseas partners, and internal departments to support accurate and timely freight movement.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Coordinate air, ocean, and ground import\/export shipments.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and review shipping, customs, billing, and import\/export documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Provide shipment updates and responsive customer support.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with warehouses, carriers, overseas partners, customs-related parties, and internal teams.<\/li>\n<li>Prepare freight quotations and assist with shipment arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Support established customer accounts and new sales opportunities.<\/li>\n<li>Resolve shipment, documentation, and service issues in coordination with management.<\/li>\n<li>Review invoices, manifests, shipment data, classifications, and related records for accuracy.<\/li>\n<li>Support customs clearance and resolution of shipment delays.<\/li>\n<li>Follow applicable U.S. Customs, HAZMAT, OSHA, CTPAT, TSA, and other regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n<li>Identify workflow inefficiencies and support Kaizen\/continuous improvement initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Visit customers, warehouses, ports, or other job sites as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Expert-level Japanese and professional English communication skills.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Previous logistics, freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, or closely related experience.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>High school diploma or GED.<\/li>\n<li>Strong customer service and communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Strong attention to detail and ability to organize and prioritize workload.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office.<\/li>\n<li>Valid driver&#039;s license and auto insurance.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work overtime and travel as required.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Air\/ocean import-export experience.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with logistics or freight-forwarding software.<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing freight quotations or supporting customer accounts.<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with Kaizen or continuous improvement practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Other Details<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>This is a startup-stage Kentucky operation.<\/li>\n<li>Onsite work is required.<\/li>\n<li>Some overnight and out-of-state travel may be required.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
