Position Summary<\/span><\/p>\n

Our client is seeking a Safety Technician to support environmental, health, and safety (EHS) activities for large-scale semiconductor and industrial construction projects in Phoenix, Arizona.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a hands-on, field-based position responsible for supporting safe project execution, conducting site inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, supporting incident investigations, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, client, and project-specific safety requirements.<\/span><\/p>\n

The ideal candidate has 3\u20135 years of construction or industrial safety experience, strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, and experience working directly with contractors and project teams on active construction sites.<\/span><\/p>\n

Experience in semiconductor, water treatment, wastewater, advanced manufacturing, or other complex industrial construction environments is highly preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/span><\/p>\n

– Support the Safety Manager, Project Manager, and construction teams in implementing project health and safety requirements<\/span><\/p>\n

– Conduct daily jobsite inspections and surveillance to identify unsafe conditions and ensure proper use of PPE<\/span><\/p>\n

– Identify, document, and coordinate corrective actions for potential safety hazards<\/span><\/p>\n

– Conduct and support risk assessments, hazard analyses, and mitigation planning<\/span><\/p>\n

– Support implementation and maintenance of project EHS programs, procedures, and databases<\/span><\/p>\n

– Conduct Project Contractor Orientations and communicate project-specific safety expectations<\/span><\/p>\n

– Perform project EHS audits and monitor completion of corrective actions<\/span><\/p>\n

– Support incident reporting and investigations, including root-cause analysis and corrective-action follow-up<\/span><\/p>\n

– Maintain safety documentation, inspection records, training records, and incident reports<\/span><\/p>\n

– Conduct or support employee safety training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs<\/span><\/p>\n

– Monitor contractor and subcontractor compliance with project and OSHA safety requirements<\/span><\/p>\n

– Provide EHS guidance and technical support to field and office personnel<\/span><\/p>\n

– Research and interpret applicable OSHA and other safety regulations<\/span><\/p>\n

– Track and report safety metrics and KPIs<\/span><\/p>\n

– Support contractor management systems including ISNetworld and other client-required compliance platforms<\/span><\/p>\n

– Work collaboratively with engineering, construction, commissioning, subcontractors, and project management teams<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/span><\/p>\n

Required<\/span><\/p>\n

– 3\u20135 years of experience in construction safety, EHS, industrial safety, or a related field<\/span><\/p>\n

– OSHA 30 certification or higher<\/span><\/p>\n

– Working knowledge of OSHA 1926 and OSHA 1910<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience conducting construction-site safety inspections and identifying workplace hazards<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience with incident reporting, investigation, and corrective actions<\/span><\/p>\n

– Knowledge of risk assessment and hazard mitigation practices<\/span><\/p>\n

– Ability to effectively communicate and enforce safety requirements with employees, contractors, and subcontractors<\/span><\/p>\n

– Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills<\/span><\/p>\n

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office and safety\/compliance reporting systems<\/span><\/p>\n

– Ability to work independently in an active construction environment<\/span><\/p>\n

– High School Diploma\/GED or equivalent<\/span><\/p>\n

Preferred<\/span><\/p>\n

– Associate degree or technical apprenticeship<\/span><\/p>\n

– Safety experience in semiconductor or advanced manufacturing construction<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience with water treatment, wastewater, UPW, process piping, or industrial facilities<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience supporting construction and commissioning activities<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience conducting contractor safety orientations and training<\/span><\/p>\n

– Experience with ISNetworld or similar contractor-management systems<\/span><\/p>\n

– Additional safety certifications such as CHST, OSHA 510, or equivalent<\/span><\/p>\n

Physical Requirements<\/span><\/p>\n

– Ability to walk and stand for extended periods on active construction sites<\/span><\/p>\n

– Ability to occasionally work at heights, including ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and roofs<\/span><\/p>\n

– Ability to wear required PPE and work in active construction environments<\/span><\/p>\n
