An established international company in the import and distribution industry is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Payable Specialist<\/strong> to join its accounting team. This position is ideal for an accounting professional with strong Accounts Payable experience specifically within the logistics, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, import\/export, or related industries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/h2>\n

The Senior Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing and reconciling high-volume invoices related to import and logistics operations, including customs broker bills, freight invoices, carrier charges, tariffs, duties, and other import-related costs<\/strong>. This position reports to the Supervisor and works closely with internal departments and external vendors.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Review and process broker, freight, carrier, and other vendor invoices.<\/li>\n
  • Reconcile invoices against internal records and investigate discrepancies.<\/li>\n
  • Handle customs-related charges, including tariffs, duties, and CBP-related transactions.<\/li>\n
  • Process Accounts Payable transactions in Oracle.<\/li>\n
  • Follow up on outstanding or pending invoices.<\/li>\n
  • Respond to internal and external AP inquiries.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with monthly closing and account reconciliations.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate supporting documentation and accounting records.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • 4\u20135+ years of Accounts Payable experience required.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Hands-on experience processing customs broker and\/or freight carrier invoices is required.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Previous experience in logistics, customs brokerage, freight forwarding, import\/export, or a similar industry is required.<\/strong><\/li>\n
    • Experience handling tariffs, customs duties, freight charges, and other import-related costs strongly preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Oracle or Oracle Cloud experience preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.<\/li>\n
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to investigate invoice discrepancies and meet critical deadlines.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
