Position: Senior Accountant & FP&A Analyst<\/strong><\/p>\n

Location: El Segundo, CA | Hybrid<\/strong><\/p>\n

Minimum 3 days\/week on-site<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Employment Type: Full-time<\/strong><\/p>\n

Salary Range: $75,000 – $100,000\/year (DOE)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Language: English required | Japanese is a plus<\/strong><\/p>\n

Summary<\/h2>\n

Our client is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage day-to-day accounting operations while supporting financial planning and analysis.<\/p>\n

This role will be responsible for monthly closing, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, payroll and vendor-related coordination, as well as some HR and general administrative support.<\/p>\n

This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who wants to expand their experience into FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and managerial accounting.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate has a strong financial accounting foundation, is comfortable working with numbers, and can communicate financial information clearly with internal teams and management.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Manage monthly accounting close and financial reporting<\/li>\n
  • Maintain accurate accounting records and account reconciliations<\/li>\n
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and budget vs. actual analysis<\/li>\n
  • Prepare financial reports and provide business performance updates<\/li>\n
  • Monitor expenses, cash flow, and other key financial information<\/li>\n
  • Work closely with internal teams, including retail and marketing<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with external accounting, tax, payroll, and other service providers<\/li>\n
  • Support payroll, employee benefits, and 401(k) administration<\/li>\n
  • Review and manage vendor invoices, contracts, and payments<\/li>\n
  • Assist with selected HR and general administrative responsibilities<\/li>\n
  • Support future audit preparation and improvements to accounting processes<\/li>\n
  • Provide weekly progress updates to management<\/li>\n
  • Perform additional accounting and administrative duties as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field preferred<\/li>\n
    • Several years of hands-on accounting experience<\/li>\n
    • Experience with monthly closing is required<\/li>\n
    • Strong understanding of financial accounting<\/li>\n
    • Strong Excel and analytical skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to interpret financial data and communicate key findings clearly<\/li>\n
    • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal<\/li>\n
    • Japanese language skills are a plus, but not required<\/li>\n
    • CPA is a plus, but not required<\/li>\n
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, or FP&A is preferred but not required<\/li>\n
    • Candidates with strong accounting experience and an interest in developing FP&A skills are encouraged to apply<\/li>\n
    • Comfortable working in a small organization and supporting responsibilities outside of accounting when needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Comfortable communicating with both financial and non-financial teams<\/li>\n
      • Hands-on, flexible, and willing to support a small team<\/li>\n
