An established manufacturing company serving industrial customers is seeking an Account Manager to support customer accounts, order processing, sales coordination, and delivery requirements.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/h2>\n

The Account Manager is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts from order entry through shipment and invoicing. This role serves as a primary point of contact for customers while coordinating closely with production, shipping, quality, accounting, and outside sales teams. The position is primarily office-based with minimal business travel.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Process customer orders and inquiries accurately and promptly using the company ERP system.<\/li>\n
  • Manage assigned accounts and maintain strong customer relationships.<\/li>\n
  • Follow up on sales leads and identify opportunities for additional business.<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with production scheduling to confirm requested delivery dates and order changes.<\/li>\n
  • Plan shipments and provide instructions to Shipping and Quality teams.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and provide shipping documentation, including bills of lading and mill certifications.<\/li>\n
  • Review shipment pricing and support accurate customer invoicing.<\/li>\n
  • Address customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions.<\/li>\n
  • Review product specifications and verify material size, grade, source, coating, weight, and other requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Monitor inventory, open orders, transfer orders, and incoming material.<\/li>\n
  • Support outside sales and accounting with pricing, order, and invoice questions.<\/li>\n
  • Occasionally accompany sales representatives on customer visits.<\/li>\n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n

    Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.<\/li>\n
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment.<\/li>\n
    • Strong customer service, account management, and time-management skills.<\/li>\n
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities with strong attention to detail.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently with limited supervision.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Experience with ERP\/order-management systems such as AS400.<\/li>\n
      • Experience supporting industrial or manufacturing customers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Other Details<\/h2>\n

        Work is primarily performed in an office within a manufacturing facility, with occasional exposure to warehouse and production environments. Required PPE must be worn in designated areas. The role may occasionally require lifting up to 20\u201350 lbs.<\/p>\n
