Ensure the company\u2019s adherence to domestic and international trade laws, regulations, and FPI governing trade policies.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Essential Functions<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ensure Compliance with Trade Regulations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Receive, monitor and stay up to date with global trade laws and regulations, including import\/export laws, tariffs, customs requirements, sanctions, and embargoes.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure compliance with local, national, and international laws concerning trade, including customs regulations, export controls, and anti-money laundering laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Develop, Implement, and Maintain Trade Compliance Policies<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Create and enforce internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with trade regulations.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct periodic audits to assess adherence to trade policies and procedures within FPI.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Customs and Import\/Export Documentation<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensure all customs declarations, shipping documents, and permits are accurate and properly filed with the relevant authorities.<\/li>\n<li>Manage the preparation of customer required documentation, including SLIs, USMCA, AALA, and certificates of origin.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Classifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Determine the correct HS code for products being imported or exported to ensure applicable duties, taxes, and regulations are applied to the goods.<\/li>\n<li>Ensure all imported products are classified properly to minimize risk and optimize trade operations.<\/li>\n<li>Stay up to date with changes in customs regulations, trade laws, and the HS code system.<\/li>\n<li>Conduct audits to verify correct HS codes and regulatory requirements, making and reporting corrections if errors are found.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Training and Education<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Be committed to continuous professional development through training and educational programs to enhance compliance knowledge.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor domestic and international news and form relationships with government agencies, customs officials, and legal experts to ensure compliance with changing trade laws.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h3>Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Deep understanding of Customs Regulations and Laws and Customs Procedures.<\/li>\n<li>Familiar with Harmonized System (HS) codes and their use in classification.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in using ERP systems and databases for managing documentation and records.<\/li>\n<li>Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, and analytical skills with extreme attention to detail.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to manage competing priorities and meet multiple goals, plans, and milestones.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum 2 years of experience in international trade compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrated experience in import\/export compliance roles.<\/li>\n<li>1 year of regulatory compliance or internal controls experience preferred.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Education<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in business, economics, or international relations preferred, but not required.<\/li>\n<li>At least 1 year of experience with basic knowledge of customs compliance and international trade.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Certificates\/Licenses<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Certified Trade Compliance and\/or Export Specialist certification desired.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Work Environment &amp;
