Job Summary<\/h2>\n

A growing boutique law firm in Irvine, CA is seeking a Japanese-English Bilingual Paralegal \/ Legal Assistant to support its attorneys and clients.<\/p>\n

The ideal candidate is fluent in both Japanese and English and has experience working in a legal or professional office environment. This position will support attorneys handling Personal Injury, Business Law, Civil Litigation, and Trust & Estate matters, while also assisting with general administrative and client-related responsibilities.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Provide legal and administrative support to attorneys<\/li>\n
  • Translate legal and business documents between Japanese and English<\/li>\n
  • Draft business correspondence in both English and Japanese<\/li>\n
  • Conduct initial intake with prospective clients<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with clients and coordinate calls and meetings<\/li>\n
  • Assist with case-related documentation and file management<\/li>\n
  • Support marketing and networking activities<\/li>\n
  • Provide administrative support to partners and attorneys<\/li>\n
  • Assist with other projects and responsibilities as needed<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n

    Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Fluency in Japanese and English<\/strong>, both written and spoken<\/li>\n
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office<\/li>\n
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail<\/li>\n
    • Ability to handle confidential information professionally<\/li>\n
    • Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a small, team-oriented environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Previous experience as a Paralegal, Legal Assistant, or in a related legal support role<\/strong><\/li>\n
      • Understanding of Japanese business culture and legal concepts<\/li>\n
      • Experience with Lexis and\/or MyCase<\/li>\n
      • Experience with legal translation<\/li>\n
      • Client-facing or customer service experience<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
