Production Control Supervisor<\/strong><\/h1>\n

<\/p>\n

An established manufacturer is seeking a hands-on Production Control Supervisor who can effectively balance customer priorities, material availability, production capacity, and team coordination.<\/span><\/p>\n

This position is ideal for an organized manufacturing professional who communicates clearly, responds quickly to changing demands, and keeps customers and production teams moving forward.<\/span><\/p>\n

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<\/span><\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Supervise and support production schedulers, including overseeing production releases, facilitating day-to-day communication, reviewing paid time off requests, and handling other administrative needs.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Verify and schedule manufacturing orders to meet customer-requested delivery dates using efficient production methods.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Confirm material availability and coordinate with the Purchasing team when shortages or other constraints arise.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Partner with Design Engineering to evaluate approved alternate designs or materials when necessary to meet delivery commitments.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Review production start quantities against expected yields and finished-goods inventory to minimize remakes and excess inventory.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Control the release of production documents and respond quickly to changes or issues that could disrupt production flow.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Manage customer calls and order activity for an assigned territory, including new orders, revisions, delivery tracking, and expediting.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Provide product literature and samples, assist with pricing and lead-time discussions, and help identify sales opportunities with new and existing customers.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Resolve customer concerns and coordinate returns, replacement orders, or product substitutions when appropriate.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Communicate changes in order demand, lead-time recommendations, production status, and issue-resolution plans to internal and external stakeholders.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Recommend process and procedural improvements that reduce costs, improve performance, and strengthen customer satisfaction.<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications and Requirements:<\/span><\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred; equivalent relevant work experience will also be considered.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Three to five years of related experience in production control, scheduling, manufacturing operations, customer service, or a similar field.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, production scheduling, and factory cycle times.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or similar business software.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Japanese-language skills or familiarity with Japanese business culture is highly desirable.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
