About the Role<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Service Maintenance Technician<\/strong> to support the maintenance and installation of machining centers. This is a dynamic position requiring both technical skills and office-based responsibilities.<\/p>\n

You will work closely with a small team of local staff and Japanese expatriates, providing support in field operations, client communication, and reporting. Training will be provided, including a one-month program in Japan following initial OJT in the U.S.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Perform service and maintenance of machining centers<\/li>\n
  • Support equipment installation and commissioning<\/li>\n
  • Replace and exchange old mechanical and electrical parts<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with engineers and customers (via email and phone)<\/li>\n
  • Prepare service reports and documentation<\/li>\n
  • Travel for business both domestically and internationally (up to 3\u20134 trips per year, typically 1 week each)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Background in electronics with mechanical aptitude<\/li>\n
    • Hands-on machining experience<\/li>\n
    • Familiarity with FANUC controls<\/li>\n
    • Valid U.S. driver\u2019s license and ability to travel by car<\/li>\n
    • Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts<\/li>\n
    • Business travel experience (within U.S. and possibly to Japan, Mexico, Canada)<\/li>\n
    • Strong organizational and communication skills<\/li>\n
    • Physical fitness to handle onsite work and heavy components<\/li>\n
    • Comfortable working in a flexible, small team environment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      • Prior experience in maintenance of industrial machinery<\/li>\n
      • Understanding of Japanese culture or work environments<\/li>\n
