The ideal candidate has strong leadership experience in the video game industry and the ability to communicate effectively in both Japanese and English.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2>Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Lead and manage the Production or Marketing Department.<\/li>\n<li>Oversee game publishing, product launches, marketing campaigns, and live-service operations.<\/li>\n<li>Develop launch strategies, live-operation plans, project schedules, budgets, and KPIs.<\/li>\n<li>Monitor game development progress, player feedback, community sentiment, and title performance.<\/li>\n<li>Identify project risks and communicate issues clearly to executive leadership and development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate localization, quality assurance, marketing, and other operational support.<\/li>\n<li>Provide North American market insights to overseas development teams.<\/li>\n<li>Manage employee performance, hiring, training, and professional development.<\/li>\n<li>Evaluate new game projects, publishing opportunities, partnerships, and business development initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Support contract discussions, project evaluations, presentations, and negotiations with developers and vendors.<\/li>\n<li>Represent the company at gaming conventions, trade shows, competitive gaming events, and industry conferences.<\/li>\n<li>Provide Japanese-English interpretation and translation support as needed.<\/li>\n<li>Improve departmental workflows and operational efficiency.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree or equivalent professional experience.<\/li>\n<li>6 years of experience in video game production, publishing, marketing, or a related leadership position.<\/li>\n<li>Business-level or native-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.<\/li>\n<li>Experience managing teams, budgets, schedules, and multiple game titles or projects.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of the North American video game market.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with game launches, live operations, localization, or marketing campaigns.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to review contracts, purchase orders, budgets, and technical documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Slack, Zoom, and JIRA.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to travel internationally and work outside regular business hours for industry events and product launches.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Preferred Qualifications<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Experience working with Japanese game developers or overseas headquarters.<\/li>\n<li>Experience evaluating new game projects or publishing partnerships.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of player communities, gaming KPIs, competitive gaming, and live-service operations.<\/li>\n<li>Experience attending major industry events such as Tokyo Game Show, Anime Expo, or similar conventions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[],"job-types":[],"class_list":["post-25859","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v28.2 - https:\/\/yoast.com\/product\/yoast-seo-wordpress\/ -->\n<title>Director of Production or Director of Marketing - Japanese Bilingual (Gaming Company) - Pasona N A, Inc. | Your Career Partner<\/title>\n<meta name=\"robots\" content=\"index, follow, max-snippet:-1, max-image-preview:large, max-video-preview:-1\" \/>\n<link rel=\"canonical\" href=\"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/job\/062688\/\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:locale\" content=\"en_US\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:type\" content=\"article\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:title\" content=\"Director of Production or Director of Marketing - Japanese Bilingual (Gaming Company) - Pasona N A, Inc. | Your Career Partner\" \/>\n<meta property=\"og:description\" content=\"*Japanese\/English bilingual is a MUST.
