A global manufacturer specializing in precision electronic components and advanced engineering solutions is seeking an Japanese Bilingual Automotive Field Application Engineer (FAE) to support its growing automotive business in North America.<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

As an Automotive Field Application Engineer, you will provide technical support to automotive customers throughout the product development process. You will work closely with customers' engineering teams as well as internal design, manufacturing, and quality departments to identify technical challenges and deliver effective engineering solutions.<\/p>\n

This position plays a key role in expanding the company's automotive business in North America.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u2022 Provide technical support to Tier 1 automotive customers during product development.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Identify customer technical requirements and collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop solutions.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Coordinate customer projects with engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support new business development and customer acquisition.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Assist with prototype evaluation and mass production launch activities.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support product quality improvements and manufacturing implementation.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Travel to customer locations, primarily in the Detroit area (approximately once every two months).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Build long-term relationships with Japanese and North American automotive manufacturers and suppliers.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

U.S. Expatriate Assignment<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Employment begins in Yokohama, Japan.<\/p>\n

Upon successful visa approval, you will relocate to Auburn, Alabama, USA.<\/p>\n

Depending on visa timing, several months of technical training in Japan may be required.<\/p>\n

Most expatriate assignments last at least one year, with many employees remaining in the U.S. for several years based on business needs.<\/p>\n

Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Required<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another technical discipline.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Hands-on experience using SolidWorks or other 3D CAD software.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong technical aptitude and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Business-level English communication skills (approximately TOEIC 700 or equivalent).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proficiency with Microsoft Office.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Willingness to relocate internationally.<\/p>\n

Preferred<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with connectors, electronic components, plastic molded products, or metal components.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Automotive or automotive supplier industry experience.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience as a Field Application Engineer, Product Engineer, Design Engineer, Technical Sales Engineer, or Customer Engineer.<\/p>\n
