A Japanese logistics company<\/u><\/strong> in wood dale is seeking a Licensed U.S. Customs Broker to join its team.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in customs brokerage who is looking to take ownership of import compliance while working closely with customers, government agencies, and internal operations teams.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Classify imported goods in accordance with the HTSUS<\/li>\n
  • Prepare and manage AES filings, protests, and other functions through the ACE Portal<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations<\/li>\n
  • Communicate with CBP and other government agencies, including FDA and USDA<\/li>\n
  • Oversee CTPAT procedures and TSA requirements<\/li>\n
  • Provide customs compliance guidance to customers and internal teams<\/li>\n
  • Review and maintain customs documentation and records<\/li>\n
  • Train and mentor junior operations and import staff<\/li>\n
  • Stay current on customs regulations and industry changes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Active U.S. Customs Broker License (Required)<\/li>\n
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in customs brokerage or freight forwarding<\/li>\n
    • Strong knowledge of HTS classification, customs valuation, and country of origin rules<\/li>\n
    • Experience with ACE Portal, CTPAT, TSA documentation, and customs software<\/li>\n
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills<\/li>\n
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills<\/li>\n
    • Excellent customer service skills<\/li>\n
    • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
