Position Overview<\/h2>\n

A growing organization is seeking a Staff Accountant<\/strong> with a strong focus on Accounts Receivable<\/strong> to support day-to-day accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is responsible for managing A\/R activities, assisting with month-end and year-end close, supporting audits, tax compliance, and fixed asset accounting, while ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and capable of working independently in a collaborative environment.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h2>\n
    \n
  • Manage accounts receivable processes, including cash application, customer payment inquiries, aging reports, collections support, and payment discrepancy resolution.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statement variance analysis.<\/li>\n
  • Support financial reporting, cash position monitoring, quarterly reporting, and accounting services for affiliated companies.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare sales tax filings, government reports, and customer financial reports while monitoring regulatory compliance.<\/li>\n
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing confirmations and required documentation.<\/li>\n
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and capital expenditure tracking.<\/li>\n
  • Recommend process improvements, strengthen internal controls, and participate in accounting-related improvement projects.<\/li>\n
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and collaborate effectively across departments.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h2>\n
      \n
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.<\/li>\n
    • 2+ years of accounting experience preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with Accounts Receivable, general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.<\/li>\n
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.<\/li>\n
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.<\/li>\n
    • Experience with ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) is a plus.<\/li>\n
    • Japanese language proficiency (reading, writing, and speaking) is preferred.<\/li>\n
    • Ability to manage multiple deadlines while working both independently and collaboratively.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
