This position will assist with intellectual property matters, including trademark and copyright portfolio management, as well as contract administration and legal operations.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">The ideal candidate has strong experience in IP and contract-related matters, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects while working with internal teams, overseas affiliates, and outside counsel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u3010Key Responsibilities\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbServe as a liaison with overseas headquarters and internal teams regarding trademark and copyright matters<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbCoordinate with outside counsel to manage trademark and copyright portfolios<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbAssist with preliminary clearance searches, filings, and prosecution support<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbSupport IP enforcement matters by coordinating with external vendors and internal stakeholders<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbReview potential infringements and prepare summaries or recommendations<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbTrack and manage contract requests, approvals, signatures, and contract records<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbMaintain records in the Legal Department\u2019s Contract Lifecycle Management System<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u30fbAssist with drafting or redlining contracts as needed<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbPrepare reports, summaries, purchase orders, and other legal-related documents<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbConduct legal research and provide general administrative support to the Legal Department<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbAttend and coordinate meetings related to assigned legal matters<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbPerform other duties as assigned<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u3010Qualifications\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u30fbBachelor\u2019s degree required<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u30fb3<span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u20135 years of relevant paralegal experience, either in-house or at a law firm<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u30fbParalegal Certificate required<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbFluent English and Japanese communication skills, both written and verbal<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbExperience with intellectual property law, including trademark and copyright clearance, filings, and prosecution<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbExperience with contracts and understanding of contract provisions<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbStrong organizational skills and attention to detail<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbExcellent written and verbal communication skills<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbStrong teamwork and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbAbility to work with people from different departments, cultures, and work styles<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbProficiency in Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint<\/p>\n<p>\u30fbExperience using AI tools or automated workflow tools is a plus<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">\u3010Ideal Candidate\u3011<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 11pt\">The ideal candidate is bilingual in English and Japanese, detail-oriented, highly organized, and comfortable supporting both IP and contract matters.
