This role is ideal for a commercially driven sales professional with experience in specialty chemicals, polymers, plastics, additives, or related materials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding existing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working closely with customers to develop value-driven solutions. While an understanding of polymer applications is beneficial, this position is focused on commercial sales, account management, and business development rather than laboratory or product development work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 16px\">Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Develop and execute sales strategies to grow revenue within assigned markets and customer accounts.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Build long-term relationships with customers by understanding their technical and commercial needs and delivering value-added solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Identify and pursue new business opportunities, applications, and market segments to expand the company&#039;s customer base.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Manage the entire sales process, including prospecting, customer visits, quotations, pricing discussions, negotiations, and closing new business.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain and grow existing accounts while identifying opportunities for organic growth and cross-selling.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Collaborate with technical service, operations, customer service, and product management teams to ensure successful customer support and project execution.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Provide regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, competitive analysis, and customer feedback to support business planning.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Maintain accurate CRM records, sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, and customer meetings to strengthen market presence and generate new leads.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Travel throughout North America to visit customers, develop relationships, and support business growth.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><\/h2>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Qualifications:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Bachelor&#039;s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Business, or a related discipline.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Minimum of 4 years of experience in technical sales, account management, business development, or commercial sales within specialty chemicals, plastics, polymers, additives, or related industries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Proven success managing customer accounts and developing new business opportunities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience selling to resin manufacturers, compounders, masterbatch producers, plastics processors, converters, or other customers within the polymer value chain is highly preferred.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Strong commercial mindset with excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Ability to understand customer applications and translate business needs into practical commercial solutions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Willingness to travel approximately 35\u201340% throughout North America.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-size: 16px\">Preferred Qualifications:<\/span><\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience within polymer additives, specialty chemicals, plastics, compounding, or related materials industries.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Knowledge of polymer processing, resin manufacturing, or plastics applications.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience working with cross-functional teams in a global organization.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 13px\">Experience working for a Japanese company or collaborating with Japan-based and overseas teams is preferred.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong style=\"font-size: 13px\">Familiarity with Japanese business culture and business practices is highly desirable.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Spanish language skills are a plus.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 13px\">Although the U.S. team is relatively small, the company is part of a growing global organization with a strong international presence.
