Job Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A Japanese company is looking for a proactive Sales & Logistics Specialist<\/strong> to support import\/export operations, customs procedures, client communication, and bid\/tender documentation. This position is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, coordinating logistics, and providing sales support.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:<\/u><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

Provides Customer Service<\/span><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Receive, process, and enter customer orders into internal control software (i.e. SAP\/MOCA)<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Issue invoices<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Assist customers with issues, answer questions, and resolve problems in a timely manner<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Maintain business relationships with customers and suppliers\/vendors<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Track shipments, perform traces as requested\/needed and update relevant parties<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Monitor customer ordering patterns and follow up with Management on irregularities or missed orders<\/span><\/li>\n
  • Follow up on or assist in post-customer billing and accounting issues and\/or procedures<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Performs Logistics Functions<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Verify incoming and outgoing shipments<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Inspect and ensure the accuracy of all logistics-related documents<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Process relevant and necessary paperwork for import\/export of countries (BL, Commercial, Inv, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Place orders with suppliers as requested<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Arrange transportation relevant to distribution and shipping<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Obtain rates, shipping schedules, and vessel space<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Check and compare all freight charges for accuracy and competitiveness, filing claims on overcharges <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Process payments, prepare receipts, and initiate billing procedures <\/span><\/li>\n
    • File insurance claims<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Perform any other logistics functions as necessary<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      <\/p>\n

      Provide Sales Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Monitor credit limits on each sale<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Liaise between sales staff and customers<\/span><\/li>\n
      • Perform any other sales support functions as necessary<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

        Performs Inventory Control Functions<\/span><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Monitor invoices and orders <\/span><\/li>\n
        • Ensure that appropriate inventory levels are maintained by other sales support staff<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Track and expedite inventory for delivery as needed<\/span><\/li>\n
        • Organize inventory <\/span><\/li>\n
        • Report any inventory discrepancy to Management in a timely manner<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

          Performs Bid Management Functions<\/span><\/p>\n

          \u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Curate and screen bid opportunities<\/span><\/p>\n

          \u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Organize and clarify bid requirements<\/span><\/p>\n

          \u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Prepare bid documents<\/span><\/p>\n

          \u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Coordinate with municipalities and internal sales teams<\/span><\/p>\n

          \u00b7<\/span>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span>Track submission progress and manage deadlines<\/span><\/p>\n

          <\/p>\n

          MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND CAPABILITY REQUIREMENTS:<\/u><\/p>\n

          \u00a0<\/u><\/p>\n

            \n
          • 3 to 5 years of related logistics\/customer service\/sales support experience<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Excellent written and verbal communication skills<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Highly efficient time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Strong capability to multitask and finish assigned projects before deadlines are due<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Strong attention to detail and excellent follow-up skills<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Self-motivated and effective in a team setting and individually<\/span><\/li>\n
          • Ability to work in a multi-cultural business environment<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
