Japanese corporate bank in LA, seeking Japanese Bilingual Credit Analyst to primary responsibility for managing all credit-related activities for the Bank\u2019s clients including assessment, presentation, execution, monitoring, and reporting in a manner consistent with the Bank\u2019s internal policies and guidelines. This would include client contacts to have a current and prospective view of the client, its industry, and build an active network throughout the Bank.<\/span><\/p>\n

9-5, M-F, hybrid office style <\/span><\/p>\n

$80K-90K plus bonus <\/span><\/p>\n

Core Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Credit Analyst will be based in Los Angeles with primary responsibility for managing all credit-related activities for designated Japanese corporate credit portfolio.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prepare credit applications for new and renewal transactions, gathering relevant information, outlining transaction rationales, modeling financial projections, and analyzing repayment sources.<\/span><\/p>\n

Conduct comprehensive annual reviews and periodic rating reviews.<\/span><\/p>\n

Prepare documentation of agreements, working with the legal team.<\/span><\/p>\n

Monitor the portfolio, including timely and accurate update of credit conditions, and tracking of covenants, market and industry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Correspond with clients to gather relevant information, conduct Q&As, and respond to various requests and inquiries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Work closely with Relationship Managers to deliver end-to-end execution of transactions in a timely manner, and support efforts to promote various bank products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Develop and maintain open communication channels and strong working relationships with clients, relevant divisions and business units.<\/span><\/p>\n

Assist with audit and regulatory related requests\/meetings\/presentations, as needed.<\/span><\/p>\n

Comply with Credit Risk Management and Legal & Compliance requirements in line with local regulations and audits<\/span><\/p>\n

Other duties as assigned by the manager<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Bachelor\u2019s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area<\/span><\/p>\n

Some credit credentials, analytical skills with in-depth knowledge of accounting and corporate finance<\/span><\/p>\n

Prior banking in a similar field and\/or formalized credit training from an accredited financial institution preferred.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ability to perform well under pressure in a demanding environment and adhere to tight deadlines, managing multiple tasks at the same time.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to work well in a team environment, and strong interest in client interaction.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong sense of accountability and ownership of tasks with attention to detail.<\/span><\/p>\n

Strong verbal and written communication skills in Japanese and English, and ability to convey ideas efficiently.<\/span><\/p>\n

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CapIQ and Bloomberg.<\/span><\/p>\n
