Position Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our client, a Japanese company is seeking a Buyer to join their Aerospace Department in El Segundo, California. This role is responsible for supporting purchasing, vendor coordination, customer communication, and logistics activities related to aircraft parts and equipment.<\/p>\n

While Japanese language skills are not required, management is seeking a candidate with excellent communication, customer correspondence, and relationship-building abilities. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and interested in developing a career within the aerospace industry.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Purchasing & Order Management<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Manage the purchasing and receiving process from start to finish<\/li>\n
  • Issue and maintain purchase orders<\/li>\n
  • Verify order accuracy and maintain purchasing records<\/li>\n
  • Source aircraft parts and merchandise from approved suppliers<\/li>\n
  • Compare pricing, availability, quality, and delivery schedules to meet customer needs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Customer Service & Sales Support<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Respond to customer inquiries regarding aircraft parts and equipment<\/li>\n
    • Prepare and provide pricing quotations<\/li>\n
    • Process customer purchase orders<\/li>\n
    • Establish delivery lead times and provide order updates<\/li>\n
    • Maintain strong professional relationships with customers<\/li>\n
    • Communicate repair costs and obtain customer approvals when necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Logistics & Documentation<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Prepare invoices and shipping documents for outgoing orders<\/li>\n
      • Process repair orders, air waybills, manifests, and other logistics documentation<\/li>\n
      • Coordinate product shipments and monitor delivery schedules<\/li>\n
      • Ensure documentation accuracy and compliance<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Vendor Relations<\/strong><\/p>\n

          \n
        • Meet with suppliers to discuss products, pricing, delivery schedules, and service issues<\/li>\n
        • Build and maintain strong vendor relationships<\/li>\n
        • Evaluate new product opportunities and supplier capabilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          <\/p>\n

          Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • High School Diploma or GED required<\/li>\n
          • Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n
          • Strong customer service and professional correspondence abilities<\/li>\n
          • Ability to operate a computer for data entry and information retrieval<\/li>\n
          • Basic typing and administrative skills<\/li>\n
          • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities<\/li>\n
          • Purchasing, logistics, supply chain, or customer service experience preferred<\/li>\n
          • Aerospace or aviation industry experience is a plus<\/li>\n
          • Japanese language skills are plus but not required <\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
