{"id":25195,"date":"2026-06-03T16:11:57","date_gmt":"2026-06-03T16:11:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/job\/062343\/"},"modified":"2026-06-03T16:11:57","modified_gmt":"2026-06-03T16:11:57","slug":"062343","status":"publish","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/job\/062343\/","title":{"rendered":"Sales Engineer-Japanese bilingual"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Location:<\/strong> Hodgenville, KY\u3000<strong><u>*This position involves frequent business travel across the United States.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Travel:<\/strong> Nationwide travel across the U.S. (primarily supporting Japanese manufacturers and suppliers)<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h3>About the Role<\/h3>\n<p>We are seeking an experienced Japanese &amp; English bilingual Sales Engineer to support our clients.<\/p>\n<p>This role is ideal for engineers who want to apply the <strong>Japanese approach to quality, safety, usability, and maintainability<\/strong> in U.S. manufacturing environments, working side by side with customers to solve real production challenges.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h3>Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Visit customer facilities to assess production processes, identify issues, and propose improvements<\/li>\n<li>Develop equipment and automation specifications, RFQs, and cost proposals<\/li>\n<li>Support implementation of manufacturing equipment such as robotics, conveyance systems, vision inspection, press-fit, fastening, leak testing, dispensing, and assembly systems<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate with equipment manufacturers, system integrators (SIers), and customer teams across the U.S., Japan, and Mexico<\/li>\n<li>Support equipment installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and production ramp\u2011up<\/li>\n<li>Provide technical support for sales activities, including proposals, cost reviews, and QCD management<\/li>\n<li>Travel throughout the U.S. to support Japanese manufacturers and suppliers<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h3>Required Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li><strong><u>Japanese language proficiency<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong><u>Being able to travel <\/u><\/strong><strong><u>frequently<\/u><\/strong><strong><u> across the United States.<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n<li>10+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, production engineering, equipment engineering, or field engineering<\/li>\n<li>Experience in production\/process development, manufacturing development, or quality engineering<\/li>\n<li>Experience in at least one of the following:\n<ul>\n<li>Process design \/ line layout<\/li>\n<li>Equipment or automation system specification, implementation, start\u2011up, or improvement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Ability to read drawings, specifications, and RFQs and identify risks from a practical, shopfloor perspective<\/li>\n<li>Ability to design equipment with consideration for safety, quality, maintainability, and production stability<\/li>\n<li>Experience coordinating with multiple stakeholders (customers, equipment vendors, SIers)<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of robotics, PLCs, vision systems, material handling, or safety equipment<\/li>\n<li>Experience preparing technical documents (RFQ, specs, proposals, improvement plans)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr>\n<\/hr>\n<h3>Preferred Qualifications<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Overseas work or expatriate experience<\/li>\n<li>Experience working with overseas factories, equipment vendors, or system integrators<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><\/h3>\n","protected":false},"author":0,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false,"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"","_company_website":"","_company_tagline":"","_company_twitter":"","_company_video":"","_filled":0,"_featured":0,"_remote_position":0,"_job_salary":"","_job_salary_currency":"","_job_salary_unit":""},"job-categories":[],"job-types":[],"class_list":["post-25195","job_listing","type-job_listing","status-publish","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings\/25195","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-listings"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/job_listing"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=25195"}],"wp:term":[{"taxonomy":"job_listing_category","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-categories?post=25195"},{"taxonomy":"job_listing_type","embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pasona.com\/en\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/job-types?post=25195"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
