Field Service Engineer\/Service Technician<\/p>\n

Salary: $65-85K<\/p>\n

Travel: 50-70% (Mid West)<\/p>\n

We are a Japanese-owned company dedicated to sells and services cylindrical grinders, universal grinders, and specialized metal machine tools. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service Engineer to join our team and contribute to our continuous growth.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Job Brief:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance services to our customers at their sites, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our cylindrical grinding machines. The goal is to drive service success that improves customer satisfaction, maximizes customer retention, and increases profitability. However, handson field service is occasional, thus we are also looking for multi-skilled person who can assist in our office with the parts inquiries, answering phone calls and emails or so.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Provide service and customer support on our machine during field service visits.<\/p>\n

2. Drive in a safe manner and comply with all laws and regulations, in traveling to our customers.<\/p>\n

3. Manage schedules with understanding of the workflow to provide an appropriate service.<\/p>\n

4. Install and perform operational testing of cylindrical grinding machines at customer locations.<\/p>\n

5. Diagnose and resolve technical inquiries and issues promptly and effectively.<\/p>\n

6. Conduct repairs and replacement of machine components as needed.<\/p>\n

7. Perform maintenance inspections, cleaning, and adjustments based on scheduled plans.<\/p>\n

8. Communicate effectively with customers to maintain and enhance customer satisfaction.<\/p>\n

9. To resolve difficulties, communicate with our members and share the info in a timely manner.<\/p>\n

10. Conduct the sequential report to our team members.<\/p>\n

11. Create technical support documentation and provide training to customers as needed.<\/p>\n

12. Behave in an appropriate manner to build good relationships with our customers.<\/p>\n

13. Parts quote and order from local vendors andHQ in Japan<\/p>\n

14. Troubleshooting over the phone<\/p>\n

15. Manage the inventory for parts and units.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Required Qualification and Experience<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to technological advancements.<\/p>\n

– Proficiency in English, especially in technical document reading and communication.<\/p>\n

– Flexibility with travel, including extended periods and overnight stays as required.\u00a0<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications and Experience:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

– Bachelor\u2019s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field preferred.<\/p>\n

– Field service experience in the installation of CNC machines, troubleshooting, and repair.<\/p>\n

– Proficiency in Japanese is big plus.<\/p>\n

– Hands-on experience in machine maintenance is desirable.<\/p>\n

– Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with customers and our team members.<\/p>\n

– Read and understand mechanical drawings and electrical diagrams<\/p>\n

– Strong team player with flexibility and strong problem-solving skills.<\/p>\n
