A manufacturing organization in the automotive components industry is seeking a Purchasing Coordinator to support procurement operations across direct and indirect purchasing.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

The Purchasing Coordinator supports day-to-day procurement activities by coordinating vendor information, purchase requests, purchase orders, pricing records, supplier documentation, and invoice\/price discrepancy resolution. This role works closely with Purchasing, Production Control, Receiving, Accounting\/AP, and external suppliers to support cost competitiveness, quality, and on-time delivery. The position also provides exposure to strategic sourcing, supplier management, reporting, and cross-functional collaboration.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Maintain and audit supplier price files, catalogs, and related procurement records.<\/li>\n
  • Organize purchase requests, purchase orders, and vendor packets.<\/li>\n
  • Assist with invoice and pricing discrepancy resolution between Purchasing, Receiving, and Accounts Payable.<\/li>\n
  • Prepare supplier scorecards, reports, cost comparisons, and special studies as directed by management.<\/li>\n
  • Track and collect annual supplier documents and compliance requirements.<\/li>\n
  • Support procurement processes related to automotive components and services.<\/li>\n
  • Perform other duties as assigned.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n

    Required:<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • 2\u20134 years of relevant experience.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of procurement, logistics, manufacturing, and business practices within an automotive environment.<\/li>\n
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate cross-functional and interdepartmental tasks.<\/li>\n
    • Data analysis skills for purchase ordering studies, cost comparisons, impact analysis, and effectiveness reviews.<\/li>\n
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.<\/li>\n
    • Knowledge of 5S methodology.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Preferred:<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Bachelor\u2019s degree.<\/li>\n
      • Accounting or finance experience.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Travel: Infrequent.<\/li>\n
        • Supervisory responsibilities: None.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
