Design<\/p>\n
\u2022 Designs and modifies IC sockets and components<\/p>\n
\u2022 Makes drawing changes as needed<\/p>\n
\u2022 Checks and approves drawings of Engineering Staff<\/p>\n

Technical Support<\/p>\n
\u2022 Provides technical support for Sales as needed<\/p>\n
\u2022 Provides technical support to customers through phone, email, and on-site work; refers to engineering drawings and customer lab measurements<\/p>\n
\u2022 Makes recommendations to customers for choosing correct sockets<\/p>\n

Quality Assurance<\/p>\n
\u2022 Researches and provides problem solving, both in-house and to customers<\/p>\n
\u2022 Provides quality check for assembly and piece part<\/p>\n
\u2022 Tests and evaluates IC sockets and piece parts<\/p>\n
\u2022 Evaluates new piece parts from local manufacturers<\/p>\n
\u2022 Generates corrective action plan and report<\/p>\n
\u2022 Actively collaborates with global colleagues across company locations<\/p>\n

Information Management and Reporting<\/p>\n
\u2022 Researches, analyzes, and updates technical information database<\/p>\n
\u2022 Communicates on a regular basis with other departments, management, customers, assigned factory, and freight forwarder. May, at times, share information with external consultants working on behalf of the Company.<\/p>\n
\u2022 May attend technical conferences make visits to universities and gather information regarding specific industries. Responsible for understanding current market condition, including competitor positioning.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Plans, coordinates, and prepares both routine and special requested reports, surveys, research information, and presentations related to departmental work activities<\/p>\n
\u2022\u00a0Reports all important business decisions to manager and provides updates as requested. Also, responds to other managers\u2019 requests for information and assistance<\/p>\n

Other and Miscellaneous<\/p>\n
\u2022 Provides technical instruction and recommendations to Engineering Staff as needed<\/p>\n
\u2022 Plans, prepares, and gives presentations to customers, trade shows, meetings, etc.<\/p>\n
\u2022 Performs special projects and other miscellaneous duties as assigned by Management<\/p>\n
\u2022 Reports all irregular issues and problems to supervisor for resolution<\/p>\n
\u2022 Conducts measurements of parts and customer packages<\/p>\n

JOB REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n
Education<\/p>\n
\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) from a four-year college or university or equivalent combination of education and experience<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Experience<\/p>\n
\u2022 Five years experience in mechanical design in semiconductor industry<\/p>\n
\u2022 Extensive working knowledge of CAD systems, specifically IDEAS, and Solidworks<\/p>\n
\u2022 Any previous experience and understanding with Burn-in,Test sockets and Thermal would be valuable<\/p>\n
\u2022 Working knowledge of general lab equipment<\/p>\n

\u2022 Automobile usage and skills – Must have a valid Driver\u2019s License in state of residence and be able to drive to customer locations<\/p>\n

\u2022 Lifting \u2264 15 lbs. – Must be able to occasionally lift and\/or move up to 15 pounds.<\/p>\n
