Overview<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our Client, a Japanese luxury resale startup is opening a new store in West Hollywood this October.<\/p>\n

This role will be the key person in charge of accounting and back-office operations in the U.S.<\/strong><\/p>\n

You will handle accounting, HR support, and general operations while working closely with the Japan HQ and global teams.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Manage daily accounting tasks (invoice tracking, expense recording using QuickBooks)<\/li>\n
  • Prepare monthly reports for management (including reports in Japanese)<\/li>\n
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms (tax, payroll, compliance)<\/li>\n
  • Support store setup and vendor coordination<\/li>\n
  • Assist with hiring, onboarding, and payroll administration<\/li>\n
  • Handle a wide range of back-office and operational tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Training<\/strong><\/h3>\n
      \n
    • Initial training (approx. 2 months)<\/li>\n
    • Possible accounting training in Singapore<\/li>\n
    • Ongoing support from global accounting team and external CPA<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n
        \n
      • Japanese bilingual skill required<\/li>\n
      • English: Business level<\/li>\n
      • Basic accounting knowledge (in-house accounting experience preferred)<\/li>\n
      • Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems<\/li>\n
      • Detail-oriented and able to work independently<\/li>\n
      • Flexible and willing to handle multiple responsibilities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Preferred<\/strong><\/h3>\n
          \n
        • Experience as an in-house accountant<\/li>\n
        • Experience in retail or small business operations<\/li>\n
        • Experience supporting HR\/payroll functions<\/li>\n
        • Background in Japanese companies<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Work Environment<\/strong><\/h3>\n
            \n
          • Initially support store setup, then transition to independent operations<\/li>\n
          • Work closely with Japan-based management and global teams<\/li>\n
          • One-person accounting role with external and internal support<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
