SUMMARY<\/p>\n

Responsible for the preparation of files, distributions of documents, and collection of funds associated with the breakdown (breakbulk) of import consolidations.<\/p>\n

Principal Accountabilities (The following is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed. It is not an exhaustive list of all expectations.):<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Assisting Billing and Payments<\/p>\n

\u2022 Research and identify the custom brokerage of inbound shipments<\/p>\n

\u2022 Notifies brokers and consignees of the arrival of shipments, distributes documents to brokers and\/or consignees. Collects receivables where applicable<\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepares documents required to move inbound shipments between U.S. ports<\/p>\n

\u2022 Monitors consolidation transfer times to ensure service levels are maintained<\/p>\n

\u2022 Reviewing freight rates with carriers and determining the most efficient and cost-effective method of moving freight<\/p>\n

\u2022 Quoting Freight Rates \u2013 FCL\/LCL<\/p>\n

\u2022 Arranging bookings; coordinating freight movement with customers, carriers, agents, and third parties; from port to destination; including pick up, storage, and delivery.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Preparing and processing documentation according to established procedures and regulations<\/p>\n

\u2022 Master and House B\/L preparation<\/p>\n

\u2022 Breakbulk Document Transfer to Broker<\/p>\n

\u2022 Tracking, Trancing and POD Confirmation<\/p>\n

\u2022 Producing Customer Invoice<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The individual in this position must be capable of performing all of the essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation. Lifting boxes, shrink warping skids, is required.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS<\/p>\n

\u2022 Basic English reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Ability to organize, prepare, and assemble documents containing data from various sources.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of office processes, procedures, and technology.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of US Customs Tariff, Fish & Wildlife Service, FDA, and USDA filing requirements.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Knowledge of Air and Ocean import freight release.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Computer literate for ABI.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Working experience with an International Freight Forwarder is preferable<\/p>\n

\u2022 To demonstrate the ability to increase and secure new freight-related business.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Required 2 years in Customer Service or Operations, in International Transportation business<\/p>\n

\u2022 Familiarity with the local marketplace and trends<\/p>\n

\u2022 Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills<\/p>\n

\u2022 Aggressive individual to achieve revenue and sales goals<\/p>\n

WORKING CONDITIONS<\/p>\n

Working conditions are normal for an office environment.<\/p>\n

Work may require time in the warehouse and\/or outdoors.<\/p>\n
