Position Overview<\/h3>\n

This Electrical Designer role focuses on designing electrical and control systems for custom equipment, translating process requirements into accurate, build-ready drawings. The position is primarily office-based, with regular interaction with the panel shop and occasional travel to support system start-ups and field troubleshooting. This is a hands-on design role ideal for someone who enjoys seeing their work move from drawings to fully functioning systems.<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/h3>\n
    \n
  • Maintain a safe work environment and follow all safety procedures<\/li>\n
  • Develop electrical drawings from P&IDs and I\/O lists<\/li>\n
  • Create single-line diagrams, electrical architecture, and panel layout drawings<\/li>\n
  • Review customer system specifications and support project documentation<\/li>\n
  • Source and evaluate electrical components<\/li>\n
  • Support panel shop operations as needed<\/li>\n
  • Travel as required for troubleshooting, training, and start-up support<\/li>\n
  • Collaborate with field service teams to provide electrical support<\/li>\n
  • Manage work within project scope, schedules, and budgets<\/li>\n
  • Perform additional duties as assigned<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Qualifications<\/h3>\n
      \n
    • 2\u20133 years of experience in electrical panel design<\/li>\n
    • Panel production experience strongly preferred<\/li>\n
    • Proficient in AutoCAD (2D required; 3D exposure helpful)<\/li>\n
    • Working knowledge of UL standards and NEC requirements<\/li>\n
    • Ability to produce clear, accurate electrical documentation<\/li>\n
    • Strong multitasking and project coordination skills<\/li>\n
    • Associate degree in electrical or controls engineering preferred<\/li>\n
    • MTR (Manufacturing Technical Representative) certification is a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Physical & Work Environment Requirements<\/h3>\n

      • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and work around industrial equipment<\/li>\n
      • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull for extended periods<\/li>\n
      • Use upper extremities to move equipment with steady force<\/li>\n
      • Occasional work in high-temperature environments (100\u00b0F+ for extended periods)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
