Position Summary<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Our client, a Japanese company is seeking a Licensed Customs Broker<\/strong>. This role will oversee customs clearance operations and compliance for the branch\u2019s import department, working closely with logistics, operations, and government agencies. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, customer-focused, and experienced in handling end-to-end customs brokerage activities in a fast-paced environment.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Responsibilities<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Customs Clearance & Compliance<\/strong><\/p>\n

    \n
  • Handle all aspects of customs clearance, including entry writing and operational support<\/li>\n
  • Prepare, submit, and manage entries with U.S. Customs and other government agencies<\/li>\n
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs regulations, federal requirements, and agency filings (CBP, FDA, USDA, Fish & Wildlife, etc.)<\/li>\n
  • Classify invoices accurately and clear shipments, including RLF processing<\/li>\n
  • Oversee compliance matters for the branch\u2019s import department<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Operations & Coordination<\/strong><\/p>\n

      \n
    • Work closely with Logistics and Operations teams to resolve shipment and clearance issues<\/li>\n
    • Coordinate with U.S. Customs and other government agencies as required<\/li>\n
    • Support air and ocean import freight release activities<\/li>\n
    • Assist with billing accuracy and resolve logistical problems efficiently<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Systems, Reporting & Supervision<\/strong><\/p>\n

        \n
      • Utilize ABI systems and maintain accurate electronic records<\/li>\n
      • Support ISO-related processes (preferred)<\/li>\n
      • Provide supervisory support when applicable<\/li>\n
      • Contribute to business growth by identifying and securing new freight-related opportunities<\/li>\n
      • Monitor local market trends and support revenue and sales goals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Qualifications<\/strong><\/h3>\n
          \n
        • Active U.S. Customs Broker License (Required)<\/u><\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Bachelor\u2019s degree preferred<\/li>\n
        • Experience with international freight forwarding strongly preferred<\/li>\n
        • Knowledge of U.S. Customs Tariff and government agency filing requirements (FDA, USDA, Fish & Wildlife, etc.)<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Experience with air and ocean import freight release<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Proficiency with ABI systems and general computer literacy<\/li>\n
        • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills<\/li>\n
        • Detail-oriented, customer-focused, and able to work well under pressure<\/li>\n
        • Ability to multitask, manage billing accurately, and resolve logistical issues<\/li>\n
        • Prior experience in Customer Service or Operations within international transportation (2+ years preferred)<\/strong><\/li>\n
        • Supervisory experience and ISO knowledge are a plus<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
