The company was founded in 2019 as a 100%-owned US sales subsidiary of the leading manufacturer of high-function zirconium compounds in Japan. Main business activities involve the sale of inorganic zirconium, cesium, and rare earth compounds in the North America market.<\/p>\n

Main customers are manufacturers of automobile parts, catalysts and electronic components, fine ceramics, refractory, materials, brake materials, oxygen sensors and etc.<\/p>\n

Position Summary<\/strong><\/p>\n

This position will oversee the company\u2019s financial operations and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with both U.S. GAAP and Japanese headquarters requirements. This is a hands-on role with no direct reports, ideal for a bilingual accounting professional comfortable managing both transactional and reporting tasks independently.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

You will work closely with Japan headquarters (using Stravis) and report directly to the company President in the U.S.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Key Job Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Oversee daily financial operations to ensure accuracy and compliance.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Manage monthly\/quarterly closings, journal entries, and financial statements.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Analyze performance vs. budget\/forecast and report to headquarters.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Develop annual business plans and update financial forecasts.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Support external audits and J-SOX internal controls.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Advise sales and procurement teams from a managerial accounting perspective.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Prepare and present financial reports to the President.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Basic Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Bilingual in English and Japanese, with strong communication skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Self-driven and well-organized, able to manage tasks independently.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial transaction processes.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Strong analytical and data management skills.<\/p>\n

\u2022 High attention to detail and accuracy.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).<\/p>\n

\u2022 Experience with SAP (S\/4 HANA, Stravis) or similar financial systems.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Familiarity with J-SOX compliance and internal controls.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Preferred Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.<\/p>\n

\u2022 Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in accounting.<\/p>\n

\u2022 CPA certification is preferred but not required.<\/p>\n

Work Environment:<\/strong><\/p>\n

Office environment. Overtime may be required to meet deadline of assigned tasks.<\/p>\n
