| Job duties |
Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
•Proposes future directions along with company's mid-term plan.
•Performs investigation, analysis, evaluation, and presenting information such as technology,
research, market and economic trends. Propose research project in the focusing area such as
sensor, controlling system, imaging, lighting, and optics.
•Efficiently perform research. Confers with researchers about research direction.
•Perform feasibility study by computer simulation on your own proposal and/or subjects
given by others.
•Works with strategic planners in Japan and the division management, and define and
coordinate corporative plan with outside in order to perform research projects.
•Report present research progress, prospected problems and deal with feedbacks to the projects.
•Reviews technical problems and procedures, and recommends solutions. Evaluates contents
of research reports and presents to the management.
• Visits and confers with academia, research institute, standardization body to obtain
information related to joint development. Arranges contract with research institutes.
•Reviews technical publications, articles, news and abstracts to summarize the contents and
report to the management.
•Communicates with other related parties of the parent company in Japan. Watches the
technical and market trend research in focusing areas and negotiates with organizations and
key persons in coordination with affiliate companies in Japan.
• Submits patent applications.
• May participate in standardization process and report the progress with own analysis.
